Presentation Description:
As the Director of Economic Development, Brit Fontenot is responsible for implementing the City’s economic development strategy of job creation and industry diversification. Additionally, in January, 2019, Brit assumed the responsibility of merging both the Parking Division and Neighborhoods Program with the City of Bozeman’s Economic Development Department. He actively engages both public and private sectors to creatively and collaboratively offer solutions to many of the pressing economic issues in and around Bozeman and the region, i.e. job creation, infrastructure improvements, workforce development, sector diversification and access to business related resources and support. These efforts, and those of committed community partners and stakeholders, knit together interdependent urban and rural economies. Additionally, he provides support to local business by aiding in the navigation of various local regulatory processes. He feels strongly that relationships and teamwork are keys to success. In the context of partnering with HR, today's program will address:
Part 1. Introduction to Bozeman’s Economic Development
Part 2. Business Recovery and Resiliency in a Pandemic
Part 3. Bozeman’s Influence on the World
1) Myanmar
2) Vietnam
3) Ukraine
