This meeting features Ita, a retired family physician and founding board member of Bienvenidos a Gallatin Valley, a nonprofit established in 2021 to support Spanish-speaking community members in building connection, belonging, and opportunity in Gallatin County. Her current volunteer work focuses on advocacy and ensuring fairness and due process for all. She is joined by Carol, a retired professor of Political Economy, longtime social justice activist, and Montana local food advocate with decades of experience working alongside smallholder farmers in Southern Africa on policy and equity issues.

Together, they will discuss 4th Amendment rights and how these protections apply to everyone on U.S. soil—citizens and non-citizens alike. The conversation will focus on the workplace, highlighting how proactive policies and training can help protect employers, employees, and customers while supporting fair and inclusive practices.
