Join Our Board of Directors

    Are you passionate about HR and looking for a way to give back to the HR community? Southwest Montana SHRM is currently seeking dedicated professionals to serve on our 2025-2026 Board of Directors! This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team of committed individuals to plan events, shape the future of HR in our region, and enhance your leadership skills.

    We are looking for individuals to serve a two-year term in the following positions:

    • President-Elect.  Assist the president in overseeing all activities of the chapter, step in to lead in the president's absence, and prepare to assume responsibilities of the president in 2027-2028.
    • Treasurer.  Financial officer of the chapter and advisor to the chapter's board of directors. Manages the chapter's budget process, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Files forms and information with IRS.
    • Secretary.  Take minutes of chapter meetings, provide notice of meetings, and maintain chapter records and history.
    • Vice President of Membership.  Engage existing members and attract new members through a variety of outreach and communications methods. Work to expand chapter membership and manage the chapter's membership database.
    • Sponsorship/Foundation Chair. Obtain sponsors for chapter meetings, events, and other activities. Lead fundraising efforts for the purpose of financing chapter operations. Educate, promote, and represent the interests of the SHRM Foundation to chapter membership.
    • Communications Chair. Provides timely and relevant information to members about professional development opportunities, legislatives updates, job opportunities, and other matters of interest via website, social media, email, etc.
