This month's presentation is presented by Fred Miller of Montana Safety & Health Bureau. Mr. Miller will discuss how Montana worker’s compensation costs are among some of the nation’s highest, but millions can be saved if more businesses improved their safety. “Profiting From Safety” shows specific steps businesses can take to reduce work comp costs by creating a safe work environment. It includes a review of group-rated plans, and offers tips for further reductions in work comp premium.
Following the “Profiting From Safety” presentation, business owners wanting to download a safety plan will be introduced to the Safety Writer program. This is a free online tool that allows businesses to download a written safety plan. Having a written safety plan will help reduce workplace injuries, improve productivity and grow the bottom line.
Mr. Miller has marketed workers’ comp insurance to large and small Montana businesses for more than 12 years. He understands why it’s important to make safety a top priority, and how implementing a safety culture dramatically impacts the bottom line.
RSVPs are requested by the Monday prior to the presentation. To make a reservation, please click on our Reservations Page or contact our Membership Chair. Also, let us know when you RSVP if you will need any accommodation.
The hotel requires a 48 hours confirmation for catered events. RSVPs help the GVHRA board, presenter, facility and food providers to accommodate all attendees. Members who make a reservation and DO NOT attend will be charged. Additionally, copies of presentation materials and food may not be available for those who do not RSVP.
